Abstract
The Early Performance Aware Development (E-PAD) process uses generative programming principles in order to incorporate performance analysis in the early stages of software development. Starting with a Use Case Map (UCM) [1] design specification that has been augmented with performance information, we automatically generate a Layered Queueing Network (LQN) preliminary performance model.
